We Made Bannock Today!

Pete and Kim came today to do treat day.  They taught us how to make the Metis recipe for bannock.  It was really interesting to learn how to make it.

We add the dry ingredients.

We knead the dough.

We add more water to make sure all the powder is collecting within the dough.

We loved getting our hands dirty.  We usually always had more than one set of hands in the bowl at once.

We enjoyed our bannock with butter and jam.  It was delicious.

Thank you Pete and Kim for teaching us how to make bannock today.  We had so much fun.
The recipe is actually Pete's Great Grandmothers.  Its fabulous.

(The recipe has been sent home in the agendas)
