Peace Poems

In iPad class we created poems (haikus, free verse, or rhyme).  We worked as a team (one junior and one senior).  We were then going to say our poems and draw at the same time on a APP called ShowME.  We didn't get to the presentation part however the kids presented them today at our Remembrance Ceremony and they all did great.  Some of the students are quiet and so I thought I would post the poems on here for parents to read.

Peace.
Peace is no war.
Peace is the world with love.
Peace is a gentle dove.
We love peace.

Peace is happiness.
Peace is love and sharing.
Peace is caring.
WRITTEN BY TOSH + NOAH

Friends in a class.
Peace is a hot summer day.
Friends and Family.
WRITTEN BY OWEN + DANIEL

Peace is tons of love.
Love is peace, peace is not war.
Happiness is peace.
WRITTEN BY LUCY + COLE

Peace is lots of love.
Friends and family love you.
Warming and caring.
UNKNOWN

Peace is like a gentle dove,
Because it came from above.
A gentle dove in your hand feels like love,
Sharing and caring is a part of peace.
And that is what it means to me.
WRITTEN BY ADAM + ALEX

Respect all others.
Fill the air with happiness.
Love is always there.
WRITTEN BY CHARLIE + SETH

Peace has meaning of the kind.
Love is people with sweet words.
Peace is not quite hard to find.
Love may come in soft like birds.
WRITTEN BY GEORGIA + VANESSA

Peace is happiness,
Peace is friendship,
Peace is caring.

The symbol is a gentle dove,
And some sharing.

Peace is our goal,
Peace is our world filling,
Peace is our loving minds.

That what peace is,
That's what it means to you,
And me.
WRITTEN BY NED + SAMANTHA

Peace is caring,
Peace is sharing.
PEace is love,
Peace is dove.
Peace is warm,
Not a storm.
Peace means no war,
It is in our core.
Peace is being kind,
If you are it's not hard to find.
Peace...
WRITTEN BY LEWIS + JACK
