Today our Rock Unit begins. We started our unit off with exciting centres. We went through every station and sorted, ordered, matched, grouped all different types of rocks. The children loved to find their favourite rocks (usually the shiny ones!).
Above the students sorted the the objects: rocks and not rocks.
Above Emily and Alex sorted them using rock characteristics.
Jack and Josh grouped these objects by their colors.
Tosh and Jack ordered these rocks from biggest to smallest.
Finally, James, Vanessa, and Daniel matched the rocks to their pictures.
