We have caterpillars in our classroom that have just gone into their chrysalis form. The kids are so excited to see them as butterflies. I am secretly hoping they won't become butterflies over the weekend! Either way, we have been reading some wonderful books on butterflies and learning about their lifecycle. My co-worker mentioned the "pasta lifecycle" and I thought it was a great idea to do with the kids. I had this pack of butterfly foam boards that I had no idea what I was going to do with and it worked perfectly to use them as the background. I typed out the labels which was simple enough and collected the pasta from my house. The kids loved the activity and excited to take these home today.
