Liebel Loot

Today we opened our Liebel Loot Store.  The kids LOVE when we open the shop of repurposed toys.  I have started a new thing too where they can pick something from a bin that they can't afford and put it on hold and save up enough money to buy it.  So far we have two people saving up for some adorable stuffies!

Last Liebel Loot

Our last Liebel Loot of the school year!  Last year, their end of the year gift was $100 big bucks.  However, this year I have something else in store for them so the kids spent their two months of savings today.

The Loot!

Some of the kids searching for treasures.

The group and their goods... aren't they cute?

Liebel Loot Opens

The end of the Month came and Liebel Loot opened.  The kids bought lots today, especially since Ms.Austin declared 50% off sale.

VIP Jack S.J.

Jack has been a great addition to our classroom.  We will be sad to see him go.  We sure learned a lot about Jack.  He plays lacrosse, soccer, has a good reindeer toy, and has 5 dogs!  Way to go Jack!

VIP Daniel

Daniel was our VIP last week.  He showed us some really neat medals, a picture of Shiloh, a dirt bike, and a lego monster truck.  Way to go Daniel!

VIP Seth

Seth was an excellent VIP.  We learned a lot about Seth.  He was a premature baby weighing in at 1.9 lbs and the students found that very fascinating.  He is trained in Tae Kwon Do; He has won a medal in that sport and broke a wood board in half with his hand.  Well done Seth!

Liebel Loot Opens!

Today we opened up our Liebel Loot store and it was a huge success!  The kids really bought lots this month.  Now, they have to save, save, save!

VIP SAM

Sam was an excellent VIP.  We loved looking at his robot, learning about his soccer medal, and much more.  Way to go Sam!

VIP Alex

Alex was our VIP last week.  She had lots of goodies to show us including wolf figurines, birch paper, photos, and dolls.  WAY TO GO ALEX!

VIP Tosh

Tosh was an excellent VIP we learned a lot about Tosh and his pets!  He sure has some interested stories about Baxter!

Liebel Loot Opens!

Today Liebel Loot Opened.  The kids were so excited because they didn't have a store in November.  They all had quite a bit of money!

The best part about Liebel Loot today.  Alex has been saving all her Big Bucks since September to buy this cat (my mom bought it at a yard sale to trick my Aunt).  She is in love and I couldn't be happier.  It melts my heart!  So proud of her for saving!

VIP Josh

Josh was our VIP last week.  We learned some amazing things about Josh.  He has a little dog stuffy that he likes to carry around and  loves to play with lego.

VIP Jack

Jack was a wonderful VIP.  We sure learned a lot about Jack.  He brought in lego, a quartz, a fish (he made for his Dad), and a skateboard.  Well done Jack!

Vanessa VIP

Vanessa was our VIP this week.  She did a fabulous job talking about her Grandma and Grandpa, a precious toy from her Dad, and a wooden cat from her Sister.  Great job Vanessa!

Our VIP Samantha

Meet Samantha!  She is our only Kindergarten student.  Below she is pictured with her favourite toy in the classroom.  She loves naming her stuffies, China and she was born in Bogota, Columbia.  We love having her in our classroom!

This is Samantha's VIP poster.  All the students had great things to say about Samantha.  Thanks Ms. Austin for helping me out today and making this poster.

Liebel Loot Today

Liebel Loot opened up today.  The kids went shopping.  They all had quite a bit of money so they were mostly buying from the $20 and $50 big buck bins.

Liebel Loot!

Today Liebel Loot opened for the first time.  The kids didn't have very much money yet so they were a bit disappointed they couldn't buy things from the $50 and $100 bin.  I think its a great lesson on learning to save and set a goal.  I am very excited for the kids however, they loved the presents they did buy.

YIPPEE It's the weekend!

Liebel Loot Surprise!

So I got a little crazy today.  I gave the kids $100 big bucks to spend at our Liebel Loot Store.  They were given this surprise in their lockers.  I love that I captured their reactions on video (look below).  I am moving all my things out of the classroom so I thought it would be a great idea to get rid of some stuff.  They had a hay day!  I seriously can't believe how much stuff they got today.  These kids are so lucky.  I am happy they got the gifts because they deserve it (they have worked so hard this week).  These kids are the best!

Liebel Loot Opens!

Today Liebel Loot opened.  We used my new bins for the store and it was ten times easier lugging down the boxes to open the store up!  I loved how quick and simple it was this time.  Lots of the kids were more interested in buying "Gym Teacher For the Day" and "Lunch With Ms. L" than actually buying toys this time.

Here they display all their purchases!

Liebel Loot is Open!

Today Liebel Loot opened up for the kids to spend their Big Bucks!  They sure bought some amazing things.  I actually sometimes am a little shocked as how much stuff I have! haha.  However, it makes it all worth it when the kids are happy and they worked hard to get it!

Here are the kids with all their purchases!  Parents, if your child brings something home that looks used don't worry!  They didn't take it from a friend.  All the things from Liebel Loot are bought second hand!
