Today the Grade 3's finish up their unit on measurement. They were taking the perimeter of my things, such as my desk and some posters on the wall.
Owen measures the perimeter of my desk. I think he ended up with my desk being 372 cm in perimeter.
Jason measures a name tag to make sure it is under 10 cm.
Daniel in Grade 2 is also starting measurement. They use snap cubes and links as "units" to measure objects in our classroom. The three objects he chose were a train track, car, and a beam.
Alex measures a tape dispenser, a container, and a sharpie using snap cubes as her "unit" of measurement.
