Today We Made Ooblick!

In Science, we are learning about Matter.  We were taught that matter is made up of tiny moving particles called atoms.  We learned a solid keeps its shape because its atoms are packed close together and hold together strongly.  A liquid can flow because its particles have lots of space between them.

Ooblick is made from 2 parts cornstarch and 1 part water.  The students had to solve the mystery of why this goo will become a solid when held and become a liquid when left alone.

We sure had fun in cooking class!  Thanks Liz for helping us create this wonderful goo.

Sorry Ms. Fritsch!!!!! We sort of made a mess but we sure worked hard trying to clean it up after :)
