We Are Trying to Save Our Planet

Today Mr. Bond and I decided to make a bit of a competition.... a trash clean up competition.  The kids were divided into three teams were given two garbage bags to fill.  We spent about 25 minutes and filled up over 8 large bags of trash.  The kids were so shocked that we have that much garbage in our parking lot.  They seemed to have fun and some people found some pretty cool stuff.

There was a ton of garbage next to the bins.  We think this was caused by those ravens living near by.  Either way we picked up their trash and we picked up all the tourists trash as well.

Even Arnold helped us clean up!  He loved to pick up the lids of coffee and Ziploc baggies.

The kids even decided to go down to where the trash is pushed by the plow trucks down the hill.

Team Blue

Team Red

Team Green

Team Teachers... We thought we were winners (wishful thinking)

Look at the garbage we picked up in 25 minutes!

In the end we were all winners! We all felt better about helping out mother earth and it was nice to do our part!
