Halloween Today!

Yeah for Halloween!  Ms. Garrod, the Bee Keeper, and Ms. Liebel, as Pippi Longstocking had a fun filled Halloween with the Big White kids.

We really got into character with trying to catch bees around Ms. Garrod.

Oh Ms. Garrod it looks like you caught one!

This could be my favourite holiday.  I love how excited the kids are (and secretly so am I).  I love all the kids dressing up and acting like their character (all day might I add).  They were so cute.  Today was a great day and I couldn't have asked for a better halloween.

Some of the Senior boys costumes.

The Isfans dressed as "creepers" (I believe) from a video game called Mine Craft.

The Brunts dressed as a soldier and a rocker.

The Martin Family.  I love this! The whole family came dressed to school (even their van!).  I was so impressed with their whole family.  Billy's skull mask even had blood dripping from it!

Samantha the Princess.

The Klein Brothers dressed as ninjas.

Lucy as a Zombie Cheerleader.

The Hutchinson's dressed as a wolf and a witch.

Tosh the vampire.

The kids dressed up (at this point we were missing the Sherriffs).

The kids + teachers
I was dressed as Pippi Longstocking and Ms. Garrod was dressed as a Bee Keeper.

Jack the Robot.

Daniel the Turtle.

Arnold the Hotdog.

They all really wanted to get a picture with Arnold the Hotdog.

He was one cute dog... hot dog that is!

So cute in fact that Lewis wanted to eat him!!!

Ms. Austin was dressed as Alfalfa.

At 1:00 we had a big haunted house.  The kids absolutely loved the haunted house.  The parents did an amazing job making a spooky maze for the kids to go through.

After we started our Halloween centres.

At this centre the kids created these Haunted Trees with Joy.  Thank you so much for helping out.
Thanks to Ms. Garrod for setting this table up.  Here is where you can watch the video on making these forest centrepieces.

At this station they played Bingo with Ms. Austin.  Thank you so much for helping out.  I got this idea from this site.

The treat table.  Is this not amazing?  Thank you so much to all the parents who made a treat for the students.  How cute is that fruit pumpkin??? Shout out to Susan for making that amazing fruit platter.  PS: If you read this you have to now bring me lunch right?? haha.

The Wizard's Table with Susan.   This table was great.  The students had to mix potions and discover if they were in fact a Wizard after all.  Thank you so much for helping out Susan.  You can have this Spooky Science Book too free at this site.

The Bow Tie on a Skeleton/ Candy Corn Toss Station.  Thank you to Robin for helping us with this station.  The kids loved this station!

Joy hard at work helping the students make these haunted forests.

Robin working hard spinning the students!

Ms. Austin playing bingo with the kids.

Susan helping these young Wizards figure out their paths of Wizardry.

Sheldon helping the students with the Ghost Glyphs.  Now this guy was a busy man.  He had a tough job but he did it well.  Thank you so much Sheldon for helping out today!

The Activity Booklet Station.  Thank you Kim and Pete for helping the kids solve these very complicated pages of work.  They did an amazing job and we appreciate all the work you both did!

This is the end result of the Ghost glyph.  They turned out so cute!  The ghost glyph came from the same site as the Halloween Bingo.

Ok this could've been the funniest thing all day.  Chris came in all smiling and giddy.  I was asked to solve who he was dressed as.  My first response "Paris Hilton" and I heard a few giggles from the parents.  I looked harder and on the ground he had a dog tied to his leash.  On the dog's collar it read "Arnold."  haha  Mr. Sherriff came dressed as ME!  haha I loved it.  He was even wearing my scarf.  I was completely stumped.  In fact I think I turned bright red when I realized who he was.  haha.  He sure made my day.  If only I had that nice of hair!!! haha.  You are one pretty Sara, Mr. Sherriff!!!

All in all today was a great day.  The kids will definitely be tired tonight but I would say it was WORTH it.  Happy Halloween everyone!
