Today we had a REALLY fun Science class. We have completed our Rock Unit and to celebrate I bought them all a little gift. I found this amazing company that makes matchbox homes for mice. However each mouse and home was $28. So Ms.Austin and I were set on making this really cool toy. We hit Dollarama and found the boxes for $1 and the mice were each .25 cents. We bought each student one and then found felt (from the school) for the blanket and pictures from magazines for the walls. Of course, it had to be Science related so they each got a polished rock from my personal rock collection. We painted our pet rocks and our wooden boxes today!

After the pet rock painting, I gave them their gift! They were over the moon. They tried to play with these critters all day long. They made a little village even where they were drying. They couldn't even wait for them to dry!

Here is all the different variations to their pet rocks and mouse homes.
These are two really cute pet rocks!
Thanks Joy for all your help today with painting!
