Put-Ups and Put-Downs!

Yesterday and today we have had thorough talk about put-ups and put-downs.  Yesterday, we discussed how it made us feel, how it made others feel, what it looks like, what it feels like, etc.  I am taking an amazing eCourse on this at Playful Learning Ecademy.  Today, we went through Susie's Day and how your put-downs and put-ups can change the way someone feels and more importantly how their heart feels.

We watched this video on Susie's "Put-Down" Day and then we wrote out how to give Susie a "Put-Up" Day.  The kids were really focused and came up with some excellent responses.

Afterwards, we decided we needed to spread the put-ups!  We each wrote out a put-up and plan to place it somewhere at home for the person we wrote it to, to see it.  I secretly did the same for each student and hid it in their agendas.

Later, we will write put-ups for each other in class and post them on our entrance door.  The kids are already noticing little hearts I am putting up all over the school as a reminder!  Now it's your turn... SPREAD THE PUT-UPS!
