Thursday

We put our little plants into the tower garden today.  Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Hutchinson and all their hard work getting the tower garden started and teaching us about the plants we are growing.  We are so excited to see these plants grow.

Last week, we collected nature to use in our art lesson today.  We experimented making a variety of impressions using pine cones, moss, sticks, rocks, bark, and so much more.

Thank you SO much Nettie for helping us today at school.  We were so lucky to have your help today!

We also did an art exercise called, "The Interview."  They can't use words to communicate to each other only their drawings.  THIS EXERCISE IS AMAZING!  I loved seeing how each child responded to other child's markings.  Some would blend their drawings together, where others would draw parallel but not interfere with each other's work.

The Results!  I think I clicked the camera a little too fast because I have a lot of blinked/closed eyes.  Oops!

Finally our snowshoe walk.  We have a raven follow us in the forest cawing.  Some children thought the raven was warning us to listen for water underneath the snow while others thought the raven was telling us we are in their territory.

"I like when I look up and the forest makes a circle in the sky."

We liked this tree because of all it's moss.  We thought it was one hairy tree!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
