Remembrance Day Ceremony

Today's Remembrance Ceremony was absolutely amazing.  Thanks to (the other) Mrs. Liebel for choreographing and conducting this ceremony.  The kids did a fantastic job and I was so pleased with their performances.
^This was just before we were heading down to perform

Just in case you weren't able to make it I recorded the Juniors two performances.
Poppies, Poppies, Poppies

Imagine

It was an honour and privilege to have a constable come and be a part of this special day.  What a treat!

In art today, we discussed what abstract art is and how it makes you feel.  I really tried to get the students to make marks with what they were feeling from the heart not what they think things should look like in their head.  We each had a Senior buddy and were able to paint inside or outside depending on how you felt.  These will be up on display next week.

If you can believe it we even had time to play today!  Life is good in the Junior classroom.
