The Milk and Color Experiment

We are starting to do experiments every week.  This is our first experiment.  How cool is this?  Such an easy experiment with only three ingredients: milk, food coloring, and dish soap!  I was even thinking of trying it on paper if it would have the same effect.

Here is also the template the students had to fill out after they completed the experiment.


Helpful Tip: Use a larger plate with just the surface area of covered with milk.  The color will be more bright and will spread more than the plates that are smaller in size.  Its also a great idea to use a cue tip and tip it in dish soap and have the kids stick that into the milk/food coloring.
