We are starting our Take Home Reading Bags again. The kids voted on the two bags that should start circulating. They chose the Dr. Seuss Take Home Bag and The Very Hungry Caterpillar Bag.
Here is the contents of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The students have a chance to read, play a game, watch a movie, and play with a puppet with this bag. There isn't an assignment tied to this bag and I created a welcome page to go along with the bag. If you would like this welcome page click here.
The Dr.Seuss Bag has expanded and now has two stuffed animals. I was inspired by this blog post where I found this document and incorporated another package from Kelley Cirrito @ Buggy for Second Grade in our bag. However, due to copyright issues and uncertainty whether it was legal Kelley took it off her blog. The students receive a big buck for every worksheet completed.
