On Thursday we had a local artist, Lucy, teach us how she creates her art pieces. We saw and bought lots of her pieces at the Young Entrepreneur Show and the kids were so excited to learn how to make their own. She was a wonderful teacher and she helped all the kids with their work. This art making is an amazing Kindergarten task, using your fine motor skills to pick up a small bead and then place it on a small spike. These guys were tediously working placing all these beads one by one.
It was a mad rush at the end of the day to get to our ski lessons so some of us took them home while others let theirs cool off over the weekend. We are hoping to have a station for perler bead making during our play based learning time.
