A Day of Gratitude

I don't know what I was thinking when I started to cut up 144 pieces of paper and then spend two hours taping those pieces to the kids desks. haha.  However, after all the tedious preparation when the lesson finally came it was totally worth it.  We had a beautiful chat about gratitude and what it means to be thankful for something.  The kids were shown some art of gratitude and then we were off to paint our own version of gratitude.

I am thankful for creative people.
I am thankful for my friends.
I am thankful for the air I breath.
I am thankful for our class.
I thankful for our Earth.
I am thankful to be free.

Amazing buzz words that were floating around the room as we were painting.

I am not going to spoil what these pieces of art are for!  BUT I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE FINALE!
