Thanksgiving and Terry Fox Run

We are getting ready for our Thanksgiving potluck happening in our community.  We challenged the students to create a Thanksgiving themed poster to showcase at the potluck.  The only rule is that it needs to stick to the paper.  Come to the potluck to see the results or come to the school to see their posters before they are taken away.

Sept. 29, 2016 was our Terry Fox Run.  We were SO lucky to have Mr. S bring in his Terry Fox shirt actually worn by Terry Fox himself.

We did a good stretch before our run.  Thanks the firefighters for the good stretch.

And we are off!

 We made it!

I can not thank the Fire Fighters enough for coming down to help us with this event.  Without them we wouldn't be able to run the run we do.  They stop traffic and they make sure that we are safe!  But more importantly they make it FEEL like a big event and the kids really remember this event at our school and the Canadian hero, Terry Fox.  So thank you BWFD without you the Terry Fox Run would not be the same.

My Dad built this beautiful log table and we are lucky enough to have it in our classroom.  It warms my heart how many children are already gathering around this table to create, explore, and play!
