The Start to April

Welcome April!

Before Spring Break, we designed our own Pokemon cards.  We are learning about animals and we created cards of animals that live at Big White.  I don't really understand how to play the Pokemon card game but the kids seemed to understand exactly what each number meant.

For art, I asked the kids to show me what their imagination looks like.  They didn't spend any time thinking about this and dove right in.  We used bingo dabbers, glitter, sequins, smelly felts, and more!

Then, I took them to Staples (yes they make lots of money off of me) and had them laminated for placemats.  How cool are these?  The photos don't do their amazing art justice.

The art class before, we took advice from Herve Tullet and created a field of flowers.  We had to listen to some instructions, and do lots of moving to create this piece.

Our field of flowers is on display in the hallway!
