Halloween in Our Classroom

We are starting Halloween early in our classroom.  

We are doing some Halloween problem solving questions during Calendar time.  I bought the counters in the dollar zone at Target (they are actually erasers).  The math problems came from The Teacher Wife's Oh So Spooky!

The Kindy's and Grade 1's counted zombie eyes.  Thanks to The First Grade Parade for the wonderful idea and worksheet.

We also will be reading this wonderful Monster Poem by Deanna Jump (this was also a freebie).

Finally, our science nook has been revamped.  It has been transformed into a pop-up laboratory.  Thanks to this wonderful website for the lab inspiration.
